This new year has probably brought the most amount of good luck and new opportunities for me, while letting me realise what being an adult really meant -- Chasing your dreams and letting go of some other things/people. These photos were taken in January for Chinese New Year, a festival celebrating the first day of the lunar calendar. For chinese, it is a significant day which in some places like China is a more celebrated holiday than the actual new year.
My mum also gave me a Tiffany & Co. key necklace which was supposed to be my 21st birthday present but we got it for a lower price when we bought it in Paris on holiday last December. Isn't it lovely? Certainly a timeless piece in a collection that has been around for a long, long time. Love Tiffany's pieces for their versatility and their unique charms are to-die-for.
Also, the Chinese tradition also calls for the need to wear new pieces of clothing for the first fifteen days of Chinese New Year -- hence the opportunity to grab some new friends for my bursting wardrobe! Hehe. This Zara dress has a unique print that differs with each piece, and of course I scrutinised all of them that were available in the store to ensure that I bought the most colourful one. It also has an asymmetric hem which is in trend now but I think I am too short for it to look nice :( Oh well.
Happy Sunday to all of you! :)
